The Abruzzo Region and Abruzzoturismo.it launch BIKE TO COAST for Everyone, an innovative and inclusive project to promote accessible tourism along the 131 kilometers of the splendid Abruzzo coast.
The project has involved several local partners such as Anffas Abruzzo, Lega Navale di Ortona and Legambiente, as well as 19 municipalities of the Abruzzo coast, which will culminate with a special event on September 22, at Piazza Sirena in Francavilla al Mare.
Oiko, through a process of branding, communication and promotion, will take care of the preparation, production and realization of the event “Insieme Senza Barriere”.
This event, in the name of accessibility, will see the square transformed into a village without barriers, an open and inclusive place for people with disabilities, and their families and friends.
A moment of celebration and aggregation to raise awareness of inclusive tourism, with experiential activities and entertainment, involving even the youngest in moments of sport, craftsmanship and information on the theme of socialization, inclusion and awareness.
THE INCLUSIVE VILLAGE CONCEPT
We have chosen the square as the place of choice for aggregation not only for citizens, choosing a form of open village, without visual or architectural barriers, capable of welcoming people with disabilities together to family and friends.
The event is thought of as a moment of celebration, an opportunity for union and socialization that can encourage the broad participation of the entire community. In fact, it aims to raise awareness of the value of accessible tourism. There will be experiential activities and entertainment offers for involvement
also of the school age, which is crucial for the construction of civic consciousness.
With a view to accessibility and inclusiveness, the format is that of an equipped village, with exhibition stands and animation, designed to encourage the free movement of users throughout the entire area, reducing the impact of architectural barriers.
